Frankincense + Myrrh

After reading a review saying this fragrance didn’t perform well in cold process soap, I was a little nervous to try it. But since it’s phthalate-free (which some other popular brands aren’t) and I was out of my usual fragrance, I decided to give it a chance using the 2-ounce bottle I had on hand.

My formula called for 4 ounces of fragrance, so I mixed two parts of this fragrance, one part Sweet Orange Essential Oil 10x, and one part of my Frankincense, Cedarwood, and Myrrh essential oil blend. I also added two ounces of olive oil to help slow acceleration.

I brought my soap batter to a light trace, had my mold ready, and stirred in the blend quickly. It did thicken fast, but I had just enough time to pour. After gelling and unmolding about 24 hours later, the soap turned out excellent — smooth, beautifully scented, and with no issues during cure. I used natural clays for a soft golden color, which paired perfectly for a "Three Wise Men" themed soap bar.

The only way I could describe this fragrance is that of burning cloves. It has a harsh resinous aroma that settles to a smokey bonfire tone. I do think it is a great edition as a blender oil but unfortunately, it is too pungent for me.

Love it ! I made it into a spray, reed diffuser, cream, soap and a candle ! I haven't burned the candle yet but im excited to. I love love love it !

I used this sent twice in different CP Soap recipes and both times by batch seized. I dont recommend this sent for CP Soap making. Smells great though

Definitely an upgrade to a former palo santo I initially chose! Warm & cozy experiences exudes! Excited to reintroduce in the new year!
